A Breath of Nature: Our Journey at Euroflora 2025 in Genoa

ree

Creating an installation for Euroflora 2025 in Genoa hand in hand with Marco Rogora and Francesco Bannini (Gambetta Fiori) was both a challenge and a celebration. An idea, air, and thousands of bamboo sticks slowly came together, transforming into a living piece that spoke about growth, fragility, and the beauty of nature itself.

Euroflora is not simply about decoration. It is about feelings, about exchange, about how floristry can become a universal language — one understood without words. After such an event, what remains is not only inspiration but also a deep inner echo: the scent of freshly cut flowers, the warmth of the sun on the skin, the whisper of wind among the compositions.

Among all the elements of our installation, one unexpected star stole the show: the humble dandelion. Visitors paused, smiled, and looked at them with almost childlike wonder. Their airy simplicity and fleeting beauty stood in striking contrast to the strong, architectural lines of the agave. Together, they created a dialogue — between strength and lightness, permanence, and moment.

Our installation was more than an arrangement; it was a piece of nature woven into space. After 20 hours of work, thousands of sticks, and countless blooms, what remained was a single breath full of dream. And when the announcement came — first prize at Euroflora 2025 — it felt almost unreal, but so deeply rewarding.

Beyond the installation, I had the joy of leading workshops and demonstrations for Euroflora’s visitors. Together with Marco Rogora, I opened the session “Eco Style”, dedicated to sustainable compositions with rattan and non-floral elements. In the following days, I shared my passion for working with paper in floral art and revealed some of the techniques and secrets of design in live demonstrations.

Euroflora gave us much more than flowers. It gave us encounters, exchanges, dialogues, and emotions. Thank you, Genoa. Thank you to the flowers. And thank you to everyone who felt the same heartbeat of creativity during these unforgettable days.
